MPowrx™ iSleepSound™ Inventor publishes joint study; providing evidence for the treatment of mild-to-severe OSA using mandibular advancement and tongue retention applianes

Calgary based MPowrx™ iSleepSound™ inventor and sleep researcher Dr. Leslie Dort, alongside CPAP inventor and sleep researcher Dr. John Remmers, recently published a paper in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. In this study, it was concluded that a combined approach utilizing both mandibular protrusion and tongue retention devices like MPowrx™’s appliance can provide effective treatment for mild to severe obstructive sleep apnea. This builds on evidence presented in a previous study by Dr. Dort about using the MPowrx™’s appliance, underscoring the importance of tongue restraining devices for treatment of snoring, and moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea, caused mainly by the tongue falling back and blocking the airway during sleep.
